Naples, Maine
Naples is a lake lovers’ paradise. Actually named for Naples Italy, this Maine town is surrounded by lakes, Songo Lake, Long Lake, Brandi Pond and Sebago Lake all converge within Naples. For over a century Naples has welcomed summer vacationers for its cool lake swimming, fishing and fun. Visitors to Naples should take a ride on the paddle wheeler, Songo River Queen, or travel by boat through the authentic lock system between two lakes – the only hand operated lock still working as it did in the 19th century.

Naples is a happening place, with the annual Naples Blues Festival, and plenty of lake activities from waterskiing and wakeboarding to sailing on Maine’s cleanest lakes.

The Town of Naples offers everything for vacationers: ice cream stands, Maine breweries and waterfront restaurants with live bands in the summer. When lodging in Naples, at a cozy b&b, or a lakefront resort, be sure to check out the art galleries and antique shops, and make a shopping trip to nearby Reny’s in Bridgton – a classic Maine store.
